关于梦想的英语演讲稿 篇一

i am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as thegreatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation.

five score years ago, a great american, in whose symbolic shadow we standtoday, signed the emancipation proclamation. this momentous decree came as agreat beacon light of hope to millions of negro slaves who had been seared inthe flames of withering injustice. it came as a joyous daybreak to end the longnight of their captivity.

but one hundred years later, the negro still is not free. one hundred yearslater, the life of the negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles ofsegregation and the chains of discrimination. one hundred years later, the negrolives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of materialprosperity. one hundred years later, the negro is still languished in thecorners of american society and finds himself an exile in his own land. and sowe've come here today to dramatize a shameful condition.

in a sense we've come to our nation's capital to cash a check. when thearchitects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the constitution andthe declaration of independence, they were signing a promissory note to whichevery american was to fall heir. this note was a promise that all men, yes, black men as well as white men, would be guaranteed the "unalienable rights" of"life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." it is obvious today that americahas defaulted on this promissory note, insofar as her citizens of color areconcerned. instead of honoring this sacred obligation, america has given thenegro people a bad check, a check which has come back marked "insufficientfunds."

but we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. we refuse tobelieve that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity ofthis nation. and so, we've come to cash this check, a check that will give usupon demand the riches of freedom and the security of justice.

we have also come to this hallowed spot to remind america of the fierceurgency of now. this is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or totake the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. now is the time to make real thepromises of democracy. now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valleyof segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice. now is the time to lift ournation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of is the time to make justice a reality for all of god's children.

it would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment.this sweltering summer of the negro's legitimate discontent will not pauntilthere is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality. nineteen sixty-three isnot an end, but a beginning. and those who hope that the negro needed to blowoff steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the nationreturns to busineas usual. and there will be neither rest nor tranquility inamerica until the negro is granted his citizenship rights. the whirlwinds ofrevolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright dayof justice emerges.

but there is something that i must say to my people, who stand on the warmthreshold which leads into the palace of justice: in the proceof gaining ourrightful place, we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. let us not seek tosatisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterneand hatred.we must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity anddiscipline. we must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physicalviolence. again and again, we must rise to the majestic heights of meetingphysical force with soul force.

the marvelous new militancy which has engulfed the negro community must notlead us to a distrust of all white people, for many of our white brothers, asevidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destinyis tied up with our destiny. and they have come to realize that their freedom isinextricably bound to our freedom.

we cannot walk alone.

and as we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall always marchahead.

we cannot turn back.

there are those who are asking the devotees of civil rights, "when will yoube satisfied?" we can never be satisfied as long as the negro is the victim ofthe unspeakable horrors of police brutality. we can never be satisfied as longas our bodies, heavy with the fatigue of travel, cannot gain lodging in themotels of the highways and the hotels of the cities. we cannot be satisfied aslong as a negro in mississippi cannot vote and a negro in new york believes hehas nothing for which to vote. no, no, we are not satisfied, and we will not besatisfied until "justice rolls down like waters, and righteousnelike a mightystream.

梦想的英语演讲稿 篇二

We all want to believe that we are capable of great feats, of reaching our fullest potential. We need dreams. They give us a vision of a better future. They nourish our spirit。

They represent possibility even then we are dragged down by reality. They keep us going. Most successful people are dreamers Dreamers are not content with being merely mediocre, because no one ever dreams of going halfway.

When we were little kids, we didn’t dream of a life of struggle and frustration. We dreamed of doing something big and splashy, something significant. We dreamed big.

We know now that we have to put in the effort to reach our dreams, but the tough part is that most of us don’t know where to start working. We might have every intention of becoming Vice President in five years or running across the finish line in a marathon or completing the novel we started years ago. But often we have no idea how to translate these dreams into actions.

In order to make real steps toward fulfilling our ultimate, big, splashy dreams, we have to start with concrete objective. These are our goals.

It's a great honor for me to stand here to deliver a speech to you. Then today I want to talk something about dreams and reality.

As the famous Russian litterateur Lev Tolstoy said, “Ideal is the beacon. Without ideal, there is no secure direction; without a direction, there is no life.” So there’s no doubt that everyone needs his or her own ideal. Have you ever thought that what is practical and sensible will connect with our most treasured dreams? Maybe, to somebody, reality has little relation to ideal. To others nothing can be done without the sense of reality. So make our dreams a part of our reality. And make our reality a part of our dreams. There is no reason why our dreams must oppose our reality. Improve our dreams and our reality by bringing them together.

As a university student, establishing a dream is one of the most important things we have to do .But everyone must see the reality clearly at first. Your family condition, your personal ability, your social intercourse, your subject and the job you want to do, these things show you the reality and lead you to establish a dream.

Further more, difficult or otherwise, we should put the power of reality into our dreams. Last but not least remember to work hard at the task of chasing our dreams. Do believe that we can achieve our ideal step by step by the passage of time!

In the end, I want to share with you a poetry <app:lookup:poetry> named " I think I can"

Maybe you can not understand the meaning of the poetry , But do not be worried ,Let me tell you the meaning

Thank you for your listening!

梦想的英语演讲稿 篇四

Good morning !

my great pleasure to share my dream with you today. When I was a child, I wanted to be a teacher. My father was a teacher, and he taught me a lot. I worshiped him very much. On my tenth birthday, he asked me,“What do you want to be when you grow up?”I answered proudly,“I want to be a teacher like you!”On hearing this, my father was very happy and said to me, “Work hard and your dream will come true.” Not long ago, one of my primary school teachers was ill. She wanted me to take her place for two weeks. I was glad but nervous. My father said to me,“This is a good chance. Seize it! I wish you success!” When I came into the classroom, the children were very happy. I introduced myself to them. Soon, I got on well with them. They all liked me and I loved them. With my father and headmasters help, I did the work very well. Now, I often miss those lovely children. That experience had made me even more interested in being a teacher in the future.

Thank you very much.

Different people have different dreams. Some people dream of making a lot of money. Some people dream of living a happy life. Some people dream of being famous. Some people dream of going abroad, and so on. But my dream is different. Maybe you will get a surprise after you know my dream.

I have a wonderful dream in my heart. It's to speak English very well. Since English is everything for me. English is my best friend. English is my soul. English is my power. Without English, I'm nothing at all. Nothing. Now, I can think in English, speak in English, and write in English. Some people think I'm an Indian. Some people regard I'm a Pakistan. And some people even consider that I'm an Egyptian. But if I could speak English as good as an American, my future would be brilliant. So I work very hard.

关于梦想英语演讲稿 篇六

I am grateful for the opportunity to deliver my speech here after 7-days’ preparation with my friend Jinly. Thanks to Jinly’s strong support in our work. I think it is my way of saying thank you to you that giving an excellent presentation to all my friends here.

The subject of our presentation is “YOUR DREAM & YOUR GOAL”. During the next 10 minutes, we’ll give you a brief explanation of these stuff at the best of our knowledge.

First of all, I’d like to spent 3 or 5 minutes on discussing about the dream. When we were 5, they asked us what we want to be when we grow up. We answered like superman, princess, or in my case, a sailor moon. When we were 10, again they asked and the answer was policemen, doctors and some other high-principled jobs. But unfortunately, we finally found our dreams unrealistic as we entered a not-so-good high school, did not-so-good school works and went to a not-so-good direction in our life. I guess, many of you have thought about changing your dreams, but finally felt at a loss again. Yep! We’re adults and they are waiting for a serious answer. Well, how about this? WHO THE HELL KNOWS! Dream is only a dream. It’s unnecessary for us to think over our dreams all day long. You know, dreams always change, and this is not the time to make difficult decisions. But what do dreams do? Why do we still have an urgent need of dreams?

Think about it: do you have had a time when you were full of happiness just because you have made an achievement that pushes you a bit to your dream? Do you have had a time when you insist on what you were doing even the tears keep falling from your eyes? That is the power from dreams! May I equate the faith and the dream here? As we all know, aims and dreams are far from each other to some extent but close to each other on the other hand. Just like the parabola and the number line in mathematics. But it is the dream that help us to map out our aim and work out plans one after another in our life. Just like what Howard Schultz, the founder of the Starbuck said, Dreams are like the stars----we never reach them, but like mariners, we chart our course by them. And I believe that if you have a dream and make efforts step by step, some of you may extremely finish the quantitative change on the way to success and reach the qualitative change!

I would like to finish my part by a tongue twister: Whether the weather be fine or whether the weather be not. Whether the weather be cold or whether the weather be hot. We'll weather the weather whether we like it or not. Whatever you dreams are and however difficult it is to realize them. Reach your aim step by step and I believe your dreams will extremely come into truth!

Thank you for your lending an attentive ear to my point of view. Let’swelcome Jinly and she will talk about the goal, which is the other part of our presentation, during the next 5 minutes.

Forgive my stupid words and it’s my pleasure to answer any of your questions after class!

You have been a very attentive audience---- thank you~!
